Elkader is proud to be one of only sixteen communities in the state of Iowa with a Cultural and Entertainment District (CED). Elkader’s Downtown district received the designation as an Iowa Cultural and Entertainment District in 2006 and was redesiginated in 2020.
This designation is through the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs. The Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs had this video made for the Elkader Cultural and Entertainment District and we think it captures the spirit of the Elkader CED very well!
