Information has recently been shared about a rehabilitation of Keystone Park (at the corner of Main and Bridge Street).
The Park Board and the Main Street Design Committee are working together on this project.
The services of the state Main Street office were utilized to provide some design ideas. In that review, a recommendation was made to complete a structural analysis of the wall that is between the upper and lower levels of the park.
That analysis has been done and the recommendation was to prohibit public access around the wall until more monitoring for movement can be done or until the wall can be replaced.
Consequently you will see orange fencing around the wall and in areas to prohibit access to the lower patio portion.
The gazebo area can still be used.
