Osborne Park Holiday Walk: The Lorax Revisited
Holiday Walk: The Lorax Revisited
Thursday, December 7th, 5:00-8:00 PM
Reservations Required
A lot has changed since Dr. Suess wrote his eco-classic in 1971. What would he say if he wrote it today? Would the humming-fish still be in search of water that isn’t so smeary? What are the “Truffula fruits” of 2023?
Come and enjoy this fun, family-friendly reimagining of an old classic at Osborne Park on Thursday, December 7th. Walks will depart every 20 minutes starting at 5:00 PM, and the Elkader Central Madrigal Choir will be inside performing holiday music, along with cookies and hot chocolate to warm up after.
Registration is required, and participants are encouraged to bring a free-will donation of bird seed (preferably non-thistle) to keep our Swomee-Swans happy all winter. For more information call the Clayton County Conservation Board at (563) 245-1516.
Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. 29862 Osborne Rd. Elkader, IA 52043.
