Older, Wiser, Livelier, Souls “National Czech & Slovak Museum”

The next Older, Wiser, Livelier, Souls program will be on Thursday, July 20th. This year’s theme is “Iowa, Then and Now”, and July’s destination will be to visit the National Czech & Slovak Museum in Cedar Rapids. Participants should meet at Osborne Park to leave at 9:15 AM and carpool to the destination.
O.W.L.S. will explore Iowa’s rich immigration history and learn how the Czech, Slovak and Bohemian people left their mark. This rich culture is often overlooked when we think about Northeast Iowa’s early settlers, but many residents here share this heritage. Learn how this culture helped to shape and influence Northeast Iowa and beyond.

Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. The center is open from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Saturday & Noon – 4:00 PM Sunday.
