Keystone Bridge Rededication

HISTORIC KEYSTONE BRIDGE REDEDICATION
In a ceremony on May 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Keystone Park (103 S. Main Street, Elkader Iowa) the historic Keystone Bridge in downtown Elkader will be rededicated in honor of the 135th anniversary of the bridge.

The rededication ceremony will include a speech from Mayor Josh R. Pope and a speech from Brennan Dolan, from the Iowa Department of Transportation. There will be coloring pages for children, a “selfie” spot with the beautiful bridge as a backdrop, recognition of donors and recognition of those involved in the project. Mayor Pope will unveil a new bronze plaque rededicating the bridge. The day will finish with a reception at The Collective at 129 N. Main Street featuring an exhibit of bridge related art work.
