Kayaking the Volga

Kayaking the Volga

Osborne Conservation Center

Friday, August 14, 1:00 PM

Join Seasonal Naturalist, Olivia Holdsworth on a relaxing adventure down the Volga River. Participants should meet at the Osborne Conservation Office at 1:00 PM before setting off on a short hike to the river access for a quick safety talk before departing off down river.

On this 1-1 ½ hour-long guided tour, we will be talking about the different plant and animal life that live along the Volga River starting at the river access at Osborne Park and ending in Meterville. Participants are recommended to bring sunscreen, bug repellent, water shoes, hat, water bottle, and snacks. In the event that the Volga is too shallow to kayak, we will use tubes instead. Kayak/tubes will be provided and life jackets will be available for you, but you are welcome to bring your own.
