Annual Community Awards Banquet

Honoring the dedication and commitment of our community through recognition of business milestones, new businesses, organization efforts and volunteerism. 

The City of Elkader, Main Street Elkader, and the Elkader Area Chamber of Commerce are pleased to once again invite the community to Elkader’s Annual Community Awards Banquet. This year’s banquet will take place on Monday, January 30th at Johnson’s Reception Hall. The evening will begin at 5:30pm with a social followed by a meal prepared by Johnson’s Restaurant and Reception Hall at 6:00pm. The presentation of the awards will begin at 7:00pm. 

Recognition will be given to new business owners as well as our dedicated business owners who have transitioned out of their businesses this past year. The evening will also feature the announcement of numerous special recognition awards for stand-out businesses and business projects from 2022. 

This celebratory event is open to the public and we encourage community members to join us in celebrating the efforts of our local businesses. Please RSVP by January 23rd by emailing elkader@alpinecom.net. Attendees can choose to attend solely the presentation of awards at 7pm or can enjoy both the meal and program. The cost for the meal is $16 per person and payments must be received by January 23rd to reserve your meal. Payments can be made out to Main Street Elkader and mailed to City Hall at 207 N Main Street PO Box 599, Elkader, IA 52043 or dropped off to the Elkader City Hall.
