DESCRIPTION:Saturdays and Sundays\, June 1\, 2025 through June 29\, 2025\n\n\n\nHistory is coming alive this June with the launch of the first-ever Clayton County Museum Crawl!\nEvery Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM\, visitors are invited to explore the rich and diverse history housed within Clayton County’s many local museums. This free\, month-long event offers participants a fun and interactive way to discover the stories that have shaped our communities—one museum at a time. Visitors can pick up a Passport to the Past at their first stop\, collect stamps at participating museums throughout the month\, and become eligible for a Grand Prize Basket drawing once they visit at least six locations.\nThe Clayton County Museum Crawl will feature a wide variety of experiences\, including special exhibits\, hands-on activities\, live demonstrations\, scavenger hunts\, and more. June’s destination will be a visit to the Laura Ingles Wilder Museum & The Locust School in Burr Oak\, Iowa. Please meet at Osborne Park at 9:30 to carpool to our destination. \nThis O.W.L.S. adventure will take you back in time to the pioneer era with these 2 amazing Historic Sites. Each site is part of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area. Join us the 3rd Thursday of each month\, March through November\, for O.W.L.S.\, Older Wiser Livelier Souls. Each month will feature a new Silos and Smokestacks Site\, so join us as we explore more of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area. \nReservations are required. Reserve your spot today by calling (563) 245-1516 or visit the Osborne Nature Center.  Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader.
