DESCRIPTION:PONY HOLLOW TRAIL BRANDING CONTEST \nCALLING ALL TRAIL ENTHUSIASTS \nThe Clayton County Conservation Board is hosting a logo design contest for the Pony Hollow Trail. Participants must submit entries before Friday\, May 31 at 5:00pm to be included in the fundraising competition. Contest information and a link to the submission form can be found on the NEWS section of www.claytoncountyconservation.org \nThe public will help vote for their favorite design at a National Trails Day event on Saturday\, June 1\, 2024 along Pony Hollow Trail.  The lucky winner with receive a 2-night stay at the Inn at Motor Mill. \nParticipants are encouraged to consider the rich history of Pony Hollow’s railbed\, the name of the trail\, and the multi-use purpose of the trail in their design. Participants agree that Clayton County Conservation has the right to reproduce the design for marketing\, branding\, promotional\, and sales items. SUMMARY:Keystone Bridge Rededication
DESCRIPTION:HISTORIC KEYSTONE BRIDGE REDEDICATION\nIn a ceremony on May 7\, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Keystone Park (103 S. Main Street\, Elkader Iowa) the historic Keystone Bridge in downtown Elkader will be rededicated in honor of the 135th anniversary of the bridge. \nThe rededication ceremony will include a speech from Mayor Josh R. Pope and a speech from Brennan Dolan\, from the Iowa Department of Transportation. There will be coloring pages for children\, a “selfie” spot with the beautiful bridge as a backdrop\, recognition of donors and recognition of those involved in the project. Mayor Pope will unveil a new bronze plaque rededicating the bridge. The day will finish with a reception at The Collective at 129 N. Main Street featuring an exhibit of bridge related art work.
