This year’s theme is “Iowa\, Then and Now”\, and the last destination this season will be a visit the Richardson-Jakway Historic Site. Learn about the rich history of this early pioneer homestead that is part of the Silos and Smokestacks National Heritage Area and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Participants should meet at Osborne Park at 10:00 AM to carpool to the destination.\nSign up online at https://www.claytoncountyconservation.org/upcoming-events or by calling (563) 245-1516. Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. The center is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Each year local friendly elves come together to work hard lighting up the bridge for all to enjoy. So be sure to head over the river and through the woods to Motor Mill for a festive evening in a beautiful and historic setting.
