1.  Summer coupons from local businesses

The request has been made again to provide coupons for the Chamber to use as bag stuffers over the summer to B & B’s, camping, touring and other visiting groups.

If your business is interested in participating – please make
200 coupons - Cut 4 per 8 1/2” by 11” sheet - please take them to the General Store or Chamber office. Deadline is May 1st.

This Committee will Stuff some bags 1st Friday in May until a new Chamber Sec. is hired.

2.  Tourism Brochures

1 case left (ab. 1000) will use this year and hope to combine efforts with other committees before making anything new.

3.  Plans to bring Travel Groups to Elkader - contact Kathy Garms

We have offered to email chamber member businesses asking if they’d be willing to be put on a list for groups to tour (have a mini-seminar or sampling at their business.)

4.  Elkader Crazy Sale Day –  Friday, July 11th  (formerly Maxwell St. Day)

Entertainment ideas?

• *JAM Productions (Jane Meyer) has agreed to provide music from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Library Story Hour – Curtis will ask Jill to hold a special activity = possibly am & p.m.
• Girl Scouts (Barb Roberts) or school group – asked to provide Babysitting at CSB or Freedom Community Room
   (they may charge a fee but should provide activities)
• Information Central - Choose a site for shoppers to pick up a bag of coupons, drop off the kids for babysitting
   have a Drawing or Coloring Contest

6.  Comments for the Good of the Order!

Received call from KCRG. They hope to attend next Friday’s Marketing Com meeting & see us there!!   Retail Com. members meet at General Store at 11:50 to carpool to the meeting.
