Free Yard Waste Pick Up - Monday, April 28th and May 5th, 2008
The City of Elkader will offer a free yard waste pick up on Monday, April 28th and May 5th beginning at 8 a.m. Yard waste should be bagged, boxed or bundled and placed by the curb or in the alley near your residence. Boxes that are wet or open containers of wet leaves will not be picked up.
Also, a reminder to the citizens of Elkader, city streets are now being swept and parking restrictions apply. The west side of the city is swept on Mondays and the east side on Fridays.
In addition, please avoid mowing or blowing grass clippings or leaves onto the streets. Grass and leaves may clog storm drains which would not allow for proper drainage of city streets during heavy rains. Your cooperation in these matters is greatly appreciated.
